Team Background
Damar Rallysport is a passionate rally team, competing in the West Australian State Rally Championship since 1994. Our commitment to the rally community is strong and community engagement drives our mission to expand rally to a wide audience and promote our valued sponsors.
One of our many sponsors is Perth Animal Rescue. Providing shelter and love to animals in need until they find their furever home.
Having the Perth Animal Rescue logo on our car and team clothing is our way of highlighting the great work that PAR does. Informing people on how to assist, become foster carers, or even purchasing Damar Rallysport team tee shirts where all profits from those sales go to help fund food and medical bills for animals in the Perth Metro area.
Our Team.
Damar Rallysport might be a small outfit, but it is a tight unit that backs itself. Mark and Daniel kicked it off 33 years ago, and after all that time we are still making the same bold choices, spending money on rally cars with the sort of confidence that would worry an accountant. The upside is simple, we love it, and we are still here because it is fun, it is challenging, and it keeps bringing us back.
Kirsty has been in the co driver’s seat for the past two years, which felt like a strong step forward for the team. The reality is our seat time together is about ten minutes, thanks to a blown engine 10.2 kilometres into our first event as a crew. That was a rough way to start, but it also made the priority crystal clear, reliability first. Since then, we have put in a new engine and rolled in a stack of upgrades aimed at making the car dependable across the 2026 season and beyond. The goal is to finish rallies consistently, build real kilometres together, and give our partners solid value through a team that shows up prepared, performs professionally, and keeps pushing forward.

Perth Animal Rescue, or PAR, helps vulnerable animals across the Perth Metro area by rescuing them from neglect and abandonment, then providing food, medical care, and safe foster homes until they are adopted, and Damar Rallysport supports that work by proudly displaying the PAR logo on our rally car and team clothing to spark conversations and raise awareness wherever we go. When people ask about the logo, it gives us a simple way to point them towards real ways to help, including becoming a foster carer, volunteering, donating supplies or funds, and sharing PAR’s mission with friends and on social media.
